"Creativity is as important as literacy”
Here in Room 7 we love to read, write and do maths. That's all great stuff we need for now and in our future. But, we've been learning that we can be creative with all these things. Einstein found out lots of clever things about numbers because he wasn't afraid to tutu around with them. The Arts are a great way for us to use our brains and practice creativity.
A box of crepe paper, + a group of children + a lot of competition + a classroom = The Room 7 Creativity Challenge.
The classroom was divided in half. The challenge was to plan and work together to decorate their side of Room 7. Miss Templeton was the judge.
Here's the photographic evidence of the great thinking taking place in Room 7. It's takes brains to plan, it takes brains to work with others. We're just a brainy, creative bunch in Strathmore 7th Learning Heaven.
